The delectable din din I made this fine evening.
So. I've been gone for a while. Would you like to know what I have been doing?
I've been reading my scrips, working, exercising, doing homework, and other things of the like.
But.
Most importantly.
I have been cooking like a mad woman.
There's a lot of this going on around here:
I am known all throughout this dorm for how amazingly delicious my bread is. I've given a loaf to most rooms and everyone sends me showers of praise for how awesome it is.
Aside from my bread talents, I have made some dang good pizzas lately and cinnamon sticks to go along with them.
Rolls are, of course, a necessity for many a dinner.
But recently I have decided to try out some new things. My roommates left me this weekend, and when I am alone too long, I just can't control my baking urges.
So last night I went to the neighbor boys, let's call them Grandpa Jack and Theodore, and said:
What's the plan for tonight?
Them: I don't know. What is the plan, Brittan? You're the boss.
You don't know how many times I have heard that phrase this weekend: You're the boss. And you know, I actually rather enjoy being the boss, so I don't mind it a bit. I was secretly hoping to hear those very words, actually.
Me: Sweet. Then prepare yourselves because tonight we are making cinnamon rolls. But I'm going to work out and then go to the store so it'll be an hour and a halfish.
Them: Sounds good. We will be anxiously awaiting your return.
An hour and a halfish later, we began our evening's festivities.
And look what came out of it:
These are what they looked like pre-oven usage. Aren't they adorable?! Check out the post-oven, with frosting...
Oh my gosh, they were DIVINE. Every bite was like a little piece of Heaven rolling around in my mouth and I could not stop talking about how fabulous they were.
Then, a girl we will call Willow, from 404 (who we shall hear more about in the future due to the fact that she is going to be one of my roommates next year; boo yes.) came in and I said, "WILLOW!!! You have GOT to try one of these! They are so good!"
She took one bite and nearly fainted with joy. And one bite after the next her face shone brighter and brighter.
"Every bite is like a new discovery!"
-Willow
When she finished she said, "That was seriously the best cinnamon roll I have had in my life."
I couldn't agree with her more.
Then we both enjoyed another one.
